abstract The invention provides toothpaste containing fumed silica and sodium tripolyphosphate. The toothpaste consists of the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 3 to 17 percent of the sodium tripolyphosphate, 0.1 to 3 percent of the fumed silica, 6 to 15 percent of abradant, 20 to 55 percent of humectant, 0.5 to 2.5 percent of binder, 1.0 to 3.0 percent of foaming agent, 0.1 to 0.3 percent of sweetener, 0.1 to 0.5 percent of preservative, 0.6 to 1.5 percent of essence, and the balance of deionized water. The toothpaste has the advantages that the sodium tripolyphosphate has the function of whitening, the fumed silica can reduce the dosage of precipitated silica in the formula, and the toothpaste cannot be drawn and has good thixotropy and nice strip forming appearance.
