abstract The invention discloses a liquid-crystal vertical alignment agent for soluble aliphatic polyimide, a preparation method thereof and a liquid-crystal box prepared thereby. The liquid-crystal vertical alignment agent is prepared by dissolving the soluble aliphatic polyimide with the weight ratio thereof being 10% to 20% in an organic solvent, wherein the soluble aliphatic polyimide is prepared by conducting the reaction between 1 to 50 weight parts of specific-structure tetracarboxylic dianhydride, specific-structure diamine, diamine and 40 to 100 weight parts of organic solvent for 5 to 12 hours in the presence of protective nitrogen at 60 to 180 DEG C, wherein the specific-structure dianhydride is prepared by carrying out one-step reaction among ketene, allyl ester and anhydride; and the specific-structure diamine is prepared by carrying out three-step reaction among diphenol, halogenated hydrocarbon and acyl chloride. The polyimide applied to the liquid-crystal vertical alignment agent of the invention is soluble, the pre-tilt angle of the liquid-crystal box prepared from the liquid-crystal vertical alignment agent is close to 90 degrees, and the prepared liquid crystal display has good performance such as rapid response, wide viewing angle, high resolution and the like.
