abstract |
It is intended to develop a technique whereby a vaccine for swine edema disease is produced at a low cost and a high efficiency. More specifically, swine edema disease toxic protein (Stx2e protein) gene is expressed in a plant cell at a high efficiency and thus a plant vaccine for swine edema disease is produced at a low cost. Stx2e protein having a plant-origin secretion signal peptide that has been attached to the amino end thereof is expressed in a plant cell (for example, lettuce) by using the 5'-untranslation region of plant-origin alcohol dehydrogenase gene (ADH5'UTR). |
