abstract The invention relates to a chemical analysis method in metallurgical industry, in particular to a method for measuring contents of As and Sn elements in iron ore by adopting an X-ray fluorescence spectrum melting method. The method comprises the following steps of: establishing work curves by using a series of iron ore samples with different contents; obtaining a linear regression equation by using a mathematical regression method, and then, calculating the contents of elements in samples according to the light intensity of elements in a measured object. The concrete method comprises the following steps of: fusing agent preparation: completely evenly mixing fusing agents for measuring, and drying at the temperature of 150-180 DEG C for storage and standby; fusing piece sample preparation: determining the dilution ratio of a fusing piece sample to be 1:13-17; and X-ray fluorescence spectrum analysis: selecting proper pipe pressure, proper pipe flow and proper integral time aiming at the As and Sn trace elements, wherein the pipe pressure, the pipe flow and the integral time of the As are respectively 60kV, 40mA and 20S; and the pipe pressure, the pipe flow and the integral time of the Sn are respectively 60kV, 40mA and 10S.
