Process for reactivation of metathesis catalysts and process for production of olefins comprising the reactivation |
abstract |
The invention provides a process for reactivating a metathesis catalyst which is composed of a catalyst (1) consisting of a compound containing at least one metal element selected from among tungsten, molybdenum, and rhenium and a catalyst (2) consisting of at least one member selected from between magnesium oxide and burned hydrotalcite and which is in a state deteriorated by long-term repetitionof reaction and regeneration treatment involving the removal of poisoning substances and coke by burning at high temperature to a level equivalent to that of fresh one or a required level easily, simply and efficiently and a process for the production of olefins by metathesis which comprises the step of the reactivation. A deteriorated metathesis catalyst can be easily, simply and effectively reactivated by bringing the catalyst into contact either with water at 50 DEG C or below or with steam at 170 DEG C or below. |
