titleOfInvention | Method for manufacturing color filter, the color filter, and display device |
abstract | Provided is a method for manufacturing a color filter, by which a coating film with a high concentration of a colorant can be formed uniformly, by using an ink for inkjet printing having a low concentration of the colorant, and to provide a color filter and a display device. The method for manufacturing a color filter for a display is disclosed, the color filter having a plurality of color pixel layers and barrier walls placed between adjoining color pixel layers on a substrate, and the method includes: a forming step of forming the barrier walls on the substrate; and a charging step of charging a pixel region, surrounded by the barrier walls with an ink for inkjet printing by an inkjet printing system, the ink containing at least a colorant, a dispersant and a crosslinking compound. Afterthe region within the barrier walls is charged, the ink is heat treated to reduce the volume which increases the concentration of the colorant. Continuously, the upper face of the barrier walls charged with the ink is irradiated with active energy rays, to make the wettability (liquid affinity) with respect to the ink improved. Thereafter, the ink is cured by heating. |
