abstract The invention provides a method for measuring general ginsenoside by an anthrone colorimetric method. The method comprises the following steps: extracting, propping, washing and eluting a sample; adding an anthrone visualization reagent to the sample and a standard product for development; measuring absorbency under a spectral photometer; and obtaining the general ginsenoside content of the sampleby calculation. The method has the advantages of high measuring speed, stable development, good repetitiveness, high accuracy, little relative error, and the like and is widely applicable to the measurement of various ginseng products.
