abstract The invention provides a polypyrrole nano structure electrode, wherein only evenly distributed polypyrrole nano wire arrays are covered on an electrode substrate, and the arrays are arranged in order on the substrate. The invention also provides a method for preparing an electrolyte needed by the polypyrrole nano structure electrode and a method for preparing the polypyrrole nano structure electrode, and application of the polypyrrole nano structure electrode in a super-capacitor. The electrode substrate only covered with the electrode having the polypyrrole nano wire arrays is deposited with the polypyrrole nano wire arrays directly without additional templates, and simultaneously, when the electrode serves as a super-capacitor material, both the specific capacitance and the energy density of the super-capacitor exceed those of the electrode covered with a common polypyrrole film.
