The image analyser (124) is operable to determine a quantitative value from the image data that is indicative of the level of neurodegenerative disease present in the brain of the subject. Various embodiments of the invention provide a tool that aids in improved early diagnosis and monitoring of neurodegenerative diseases, such as, for example, Alzheimer's disease (AD). |
