abstract The invention discloses a synthetic method of carbocyclic compound. Quinhydrone derivative and conjugated diene react in organic solvent under the catalysis of red lead and trifluoroacetic acid to prepare the carbocyclic compound. The method of the invention is 'one pot' method, takes cheap and accessible red lead as oxidant and catalyst, thus not only oxidizing quinhydrone derivative into corresponding benzoquinone derivative, but also catalyzing Diels-Alder reaction between benzoquinone derivative and conjugated diene, the reaction condition is mild, the reaction time is short, the product is easy to be purified, and the yield is high, thus being suitable for industrialized production and having wide application prospect.
