The invention relates to surface modified pigment and a cosmetic composition containing the pigment, in specific to the surface modified pigment with excellent water resistance, spreadability, smoothness and skin compatibility and the cosmetic composition containing the pigment; wherein the surface modification of the pigment is realized by the triethoxy-alkylsilane indicated by the following formula I and the amino-substituted dimethyl silicone polymer indicated by the formula II below. In formula I CH3(CH2)nSi(OCH2CH3), n is 7-17; in formula II, R is OH or CH3, and X is propyl, isopropyl or isobutyl. |
