abstract | The invention provides a method of increasing the insecticidal capacity of Cry3 (crystalline protein 3) to diabrotica virgifera. The method includes: 1 to 50 amino acid sequences at N end of Cry3 is structurally modified; the structural modification is deletion and/or insertion of at least one peptide fragment; the peptide fragment length is 1 to 50 amino acids; Cry3 is Cry3A or Cry3B. The effect of the invention mainly lies in that a method of increasing the insecticidal capacity of Cry3 (crystalline protein 3) to the diabrotica virgifera is provided and the transgenic insect-resistant corn with modified Cry3 protein acquired by the method has good insecticidal capacity to the diabrotica virgifera. |
