titleOfInvention Dialkoxymagnesium granular material and method for synthesis of the same
abstract Disclosed is a dialkoxymagnesium granular material which has a spherical or ellipsoidal granular shape having an average particle diameter represented by D50 of 60 to 200 mu m, has a bulk specific gravity of 0.2 to 0.7 g/ml, has in its inside a plurality of micropores having a pore size of 0.1 to 5 mu m as measured by the observation on TEM, and has a grain size distribution represented by the formula: (D90 - D10)/D50 of 1 or less. The granular material can be produced by performing the reaction of a reaction system comprising metal magnesium and an alcohol under refluxing of the alcohol, wherein the metal magnesium is in a granular form and the granular metal magnesium and the alcohol are added continuously or intermittently in divided portions. It becomes possible to produce a dialkoxymagnesium granular material which contains no fine powdery material and has a uniform grain size distribution and a large grain size.
