Disclosed is an activated silane compound obtained by reacting a hydrocarbyl oxysilane compound with an organic metal compound in an organic solvent. The activated silane compound is increased in interaction with silica and carbon black, while being improved in fracture behavior, wear resistance and low heat generation property. Consequently, the amount of the activated silane compound to be blended in a rubber composition can be reduced. Also disclosed are a rubber composition wherein such an activated silane compound is blended as a silane coupling agent, and a pneumatic tire obtained by using such a rubber composition and having excellent durability, low heat generation property and the like. |
