abstract | The inventin relates to a perpendicular aligned liquid crystal alignment agent, comprising at least one polymer selected from polyamic acid obtained by reacting diamine with tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and imide polymer thereof, wherein the diamine contains a certain 2,4-diamido benzene comprising a p-phenylenediamine and of which the position 1 is substituted by a substituent with a steroid structure and a certain 3,5-diamido benzene of which the position 1 is substituted by a substituent with a steroid structure. The perpendicular aligned liquid crystal alignment agent has a excellent coating capability, and a liquid crystal alignment film fromed by the liquid crystal alignment agent has an excellent perpendicular alignment and reliability. |
