abstract A tobacco additive and the preparation method and application thereof for selectively reducing the amount of volatile carbonyl contained in the smoke of cigarette is characterized in that APTES, TEOA, SA and sodium hydroxide are reacted in ethanol/ water to get the additive. The preparation method comprises stirring, crystallization, deacidification, cleaning and drying. The device puts the tobacco additive into the filter to selectively reduce the amount of volatile carbonyl contained in the smoke of cigarette, because amine functional group can react with carbonyl. Consequently the invention can reduce the danger of cigarette.
