A hook-and-loop fastener made of fabric in which fibers constituting the ground fabric have been fusion-fixed to fibers constituting engaging elements and which has no back coating layer and is excellent in flexibility and durability. It is a hook-and-loop fastener which is composed of ground wefts (alpha1), ground warps (alpha2) including binder fibers, and piles (alpha3) and in which the piles (alpha3) have been fixed through the fusion of the binder fibers as a component of the ground warps (alpha2), the ground wefts (alpha1), ground warps (alpha2), and piles (alpha3) comprising polyester fibers, the proportion (by mass) of the ground wefts (alpha1) to the ground warps (alpha2), alpha1/alpha2, being from 40/60 to 80/20, and the proportion (by mass) of the sum of the ground wefts (alpha1) and the ground warps (alpha2) to the piles (alpha3), (alpha1+alpha2)/alpha3, being from 90/10 to 50/50. |
