An organic electroluminescent element provided with a plurality of organic compound layers sandwiched between an anode and a cathode. The organic electroluminescent element is provided with a hole transporting layer composed of an organic compound insoluble in alcohol solvents, and an electron transporting layer formed on the hole transporting layer by a wet method. The material of the electron transporting layer is an organic compound which contains phosphorus and soluble in alcohol solvents. |
