abstract | A thermosensitive recording developer characterized by containing, per 100 parts by mass of 4-allyloxy-4'-hydroxydiphenyl sulfone, 0.5 to 5 parts by mass of 3-allyl-4-allyloxy-4'-hydroxydiphenyl sulfone, 4-allyloxy-3'-allyl-4'-hydroxydiphenyl sulfone or a mixture of these two compounds; and a process for producing the same. Further, there is provided a thermosensitive recording material characterized in that the above thermosensitive recording developer is contained in a thermosensitive color forming layer. These thermosensitive recording developer and thermosensitive recording material characteristically excel in resistance to background fogging, color forming performance and imaged area storability. |
