abstract |
Described is a flame-retardant article, in particular for railway applications, containing or consisting of at least one extruded or injection-molded part (A) consisting of a fiber-reinforced, halogen-free flame-retardant polyamide molding compound; wherein the molding has a mineral-containing coating (B) in at least a portion of its exposed surface; and wherein the article at a heat radiation of 50 kW / m 2 and a sample thickness of 3 mm has a MARHE value according to DIN EN 45545-2: 2013 of at most 90 kW / m 2, and wherein the optical smoke density (Ds) after 4 min and the cumulative smoke density VOF4 according to DIN EN 45545-2: 2013 and ISO 5659-2: 50 kW / m 2 preferably do not exceed a value of 300 or 600. Also described are uses and methods of manufacture. |
