titleOfInvention | A pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of mucosal inflammation. |
abstract | An agent for the treatment of aphthous ulcers comprises a flowable, pasty adhesive composition which is suitable for adhering to the oral mucosa after administration, and a pharmaceutical active composition with an organic or inorganic chlorine compound and at least one oxidizing agent. When the organic or inorganic chlorine compound and the oxidizing agent go into solution, chlorine or chlorine oxide is formed, which has surprisingly been found to be particularly effective in the treatment of aphthous ulcers. |
