abstract |
A liquid gas transport and storage bottle (2) has a filling/discharge valve (4). The bottle is fabricated from a layer epoxy and glass fiber wound on a blown membrane. The bottle further has a protective plastic outer mantle (3). The outer mantle (3) consists of a lower section (11) linked by a screw-fit ring (14) and cylindrical center section (14) to an upper section (10) with a protective crown (18) and lifting handle (5). The center section (14) mantle is made of a thermoplastic mixture incorporating ground rubber particles and having an elasticity modulus of 130 to 240 N/mm(2. The thermoplastic mixture consists of equal parts of polyethylene and rubber particles in the size range 250 to 500m. The mixture expands by between 40 and 80% under maximum load. The inner membrane is PET or a multi-layered material. The upper (10) and lower (11) sections are fabricated by injection molding. The link between the upper, center and lower sections is effected by a screw-fit ring, one of which is welded in place. The lower section incorporates an inspection window (13) for visible inspection of the bottle contents. The handle and crown section is fabricated from high-density polyethylene (HDPE). |
