titleOfInvention | Automatic wire threading device for EDM machine. |
abstract | Automatic wire-threading device for electro-erosion machine is a traction threading mechanism, consisting of a pair of free wheels (10,11) each with an inner traction surface and an outer loose surface, the second wheel (11) being borne by a pivoting arem (23) which is acted upon by fluid-mechanical means that separates the two wheels under normal threading conditions but puts them into contact for dragging the wire under threading conditions. The two wheels are driven by a threading motor via a gear train following wire breakage. The device also includes a cutting mechanism and a fine-jet guide water circuit. All the drives are controlled by a central CPU. |
