In (I), R1 is 1-18C alkyl, cyclopentyl or cyclohexyl; R2 and R3 are each phenyl, unsubstd. or carriers 1, 2, 3 or 4 substituents from halogen, 1-4C alkyl and 1-4C alkoxy; and R1 is not decyl if R2 and R3 are halogen-substd. phenyl. Also claimed is (1) a compsn. comprising (a) at least one ethylenically unsatd. photopolymerisable cpd. and (b) at least one cpd. of formula (I) as photoinitiator; and (2) a process for the photopolymerisation of a cpd. wherein the above compsn. is exposed to light in the range from 200-600nm.
