abstract The tunnel lining comprises lining plates (1,2), with flanges (6) at right angles to them, and by which they are screwed together, so as to form a supporting arch (10). These can be fixed to protruding ribs on the plates, typically by welding, and can contain slots extending in the tunnel length-wise direction for bolts welded along the edges of the adjacent plates.
