titleOfInvention Immunoglobulin preparation suitable for intravenous administration
abstract The immunoglobulin preparation which is suitable for intravenous administration causes no detectable antigen-independent activation of the complement factor C1 on intravenous administration and virtually no complement consumption in an in vitro haemolysis test. It contains essentially unchanged 7-S immunoglobulin with a molecular weight which is essentially unchanged from the 7-S fraction contained in the immunoglobulin. It displays essentially undiminished antibody but reduced antigen-independent complement activity and only few complement-binding structures and is accordingly also capable of only little antigen-independent binding of complement.
