titleOfInvention Process for the production of pharmaceutical shaped articles which are resistant to gastric fluid and contain an indicator
abstract In the production of pharmaceutical shaped articles which are resistant to gastric fluid, such as tablets, granules and the like, a substance (indicator) which can be detected by an analytical method, for example a dye, a fluorescent substance or a UV-absorbing substance, is added to the shaped article composition before application of the coating which is resistant to gastric fluid. Treatment of the shaped articles for control purposes in an acidic aqueous medium results, if the coating which is resistant to gastric fluid is damaged or not intact, in the indicator entering the aqueous phase and being detectable, at least qualitatively, therein.
