The novel 1,4-dioxoquinoxalin-2-yl ethenyl ketones correspond to the Formula I, in which R1 and R2 are defined in accordance with Claim 1. The novel 1,4-dioxoquinoxalin-2-yl ethenyl ketones of the general Formula I are prepared by reacting an acetylquinoxaline derivative of the general Formula II, in which R2 has the above meaning, with an aldehyde of the general Formula III, in which R1 has the above meaning. On account of their antibacterial property and their property of increasing weight gain, the novel compounds may be used in animal breeding. <IMAGE> |
