Process for the production of absorbable surgical threads |
abstract |
The process for the production of absorbable surgical threads is based on treating cellulose threads with nitrogen oxides. The cellulose threads are treated with nitrogen oxides in an organic solvent at a temperature of -11 DEG C to +21 DEG C for 10 to 30 minutes. The cellulose threads are then removed from the organic solvent and kept under elevated pressure and at a temperature of +30 DEG C to +70 DEG C for 15 min to 1.5 h. |
