Microsurgical device having a lens for use in eye operations |
abstract |
The device has a ring which is sewn onto the cornea of the eye. An infusion liquid flows via an inflow (6) into the interior of the ring and from there out again via an outflow (9). A plano-concave quartz lens (8) which floats on the constantly renewing liquid level is put into the liquid-filled corneal basin (7) surrounded by the ring. This ensures in a simple way supply of oxygen to the cornea and prevents the latter from drying out. <IMAGE> |
