Process for preparing thymosin alpha-1 and an analogue |
abstract |
Process for preparing thymosin alpha 1 and its [Asn<2>] analogue by eliminating the protective groups from a compound <IMAGE> in which X represents Asn or Asp(OR<2>); R<1> represents a protective group which is customary for the hydroxyl group of serine; R<2>, R<4> and R<6> represent customary carboxyl protective groups; R<3> represents a protective group which is customary for the hydroxyl group of threonine, and R<5> represents a protective group which is customary for the omega -amino group of lysine. Thymosin alpha 1 and its [Asn<2>] analogue, as well as their pharmaceutically tolerated salts, have immunopotentiating activity and may therefore be used as drugs. |
