titleOfInvention | Thread-monitoring apparatus on a quilting machine with a program control and with a thread-break checking device |
abstract | In a quilting machine with program control (1), on the one hand thread-break monitoring can be carried out and on the other hand the quilting seam can be varied by means of an apparatus for monitoring the needle thread (10). For this purpose, the thread (10) is guided around a feed roller (12) which, according to the quilting program, brings about the corresponding feed of the thread by means of the control (2). The roller (12) is driven by a stepping motor (3). The thread feed is regulated as a function of the number of threads used and the desired seam. The thread-break checking device (15-19) acts in turn on the program control (1) and thereby also on all the subsequent elements (2, 3). The apparatus makes it possible to work with few needle threads (10), as is often desirable in upholstery manufacture. <IMAGE> |
