abstract | Bis-triazinylaminostilbene compounds of the formula <IMAGE> whose substituents R1, R2 and R3, and also M are defined as in Claim 1, are novel compounds which can be used as optical brighteners for high-molecular weight organic materials. The compounds are prepared by reacting one mol equivalent of a diaminostilbene of the formula <IMAGE> with 2 mol equivalents of a compound of the formula <IMAGE> in the presence of an acid-binding agent. The reaction product is then reacted with 2 mol equivalents of an amine of the formula HN(R2)(R3). |
