titleOfInvention Process for the preparation of 2,6-disubstituted 2-phenyliminoimidazolidines and their acid addition salts
abstract 2-Phenyliminoimidazolidines of the formula I which are disubstituted in the ortho and ortho' position are obtained by reacting ethylenediamine or its salts with a carbodiimide of the formula Z-N=C=N-Z. The latter are prepared from 2,6-disubstituted anilines. The meaning of Z is evident from the claim. The 2-phenyliminoimidazolidines have a valuable therapeutic effect, especially in lowering blood pressure. <IMAGE>
