Antisun composition containing at least one compound of the formula below in which: R1 = H or C1-12 alkyl radical; R2 = H, C1-4 alkoxy radical or halogen; R3 = H or -S-R8 with R8 = C1-12 alkyl or -(CH-CH3)m-(CH2)n-R9 such that R9 = -COOH; -COOR10; -CH2-NR11R12; -CH2-NR13R14R15X; with R 10R11R12R13R14R15 = C1-4 alkyl, X = anion, m = 0 or 1, n = 0 to 2; R4R5R6R7 = H, alkyl or alkoxy; on condition that, when R3 = H, one of R1R2R4R5R6R7 is other than H. The compositions of the invention have excellent UV absorption for the erythematous wavelengths of 290-320 nm, and excellent transmission for the non-erythematous wavelengths of 320 to 370 nm. <IMAGE> |
