abstract | Novel compounds of the formula <IMAGE> in which R1 denotes H or alkyl, R2 denotes an optionally mono- or polysubstituted alkyl or -CH2.O.CO.R3, where R3 denotes an optionally mono- or polysubstituted alkyl, are prepared by reaction of appropriate compounds of the formula <IMAGE> in which R4 denotes H or -CO.CH2OH, with an appropriate carboxylic acid. The compounds are active against protozoa, such as amoebae, trichomonads and helminths, in particular cestodes, and against mycoplasma. |
