Novel substituted phenylguanidines of the formula <IMAGE> wherein X represents the sulphinyl group or the sulphonyl group and the substituents R, R<1>, R<2> and R<3> are defined in Claim 1, are obtained when, in corresponding substituted phenylguanidines having a thio group, the latter is oxidised. The oxidation is usually performed with H2O2 or with organic per-acids. The novel compounds mentioned possess an anthelmintic action and may be used as at least one active component in anthelmintics. |
