titleOfInvention | Process for the N-acylation of homocysteine |
abstract | Homocysteine or one of its esters, thioesters, salts or an S-acylated compound of homocysteine are subjected to N-acylation. The N-acylhomocysteine obtained can be subjected to S-acylation in order to obtain N,S-acylhomocysteine. For the N-acylation, an acid anhydride or an acid halide is used in the presence of water and of an alkaline agent or propionic or butyric anhydride or acetyl, propionyl, butyryl, benzoyl, nicotinoyl or substituted cinnamoyl chloride. With the products obtained, it is possible to prepare medicaments for human or veterinary therapeutics having various activities such as hepatoprotecting, cicatrising, mucolytic, hypolipemiating, hypocholesterolemiating, vasoprotecting, anodyne or platelet- antiaggregating actions. |
