Oxygenated tricyclic derivs. (I) (in which the dotted line is a single or double bond and (a) m = 6, p = 0 or 1, q = 1 or 2; (b) m = 7, p = 1 or 2, or (c) m = 8, p = 0 or 1, q = 1 or 2), are esp. useful for improving, reinforcing or modifying the organoleptic props. of foodstuffs, animal feed, drinks, pharmaceutical prodts. and tobacco. They are esp. used for providing amber-like perfume note to perfumes etc. |
