titleOfInvention | Iron and steel surfaces protection - by recrystallisation on coating with gels contg. phosphate and potassium ion donors |
abstract | Iron and steel surfaces are protected by chemical bonding of their metal ions. This is achieved by recrystallising the surfaces, through direct, film-forming coating with phosphate- and K ion-contg. cpds., to K-Fe-(III)-phosphate epitactically growing with one another and with surfaces. Coating gel pref. contains H3PO4, metal salts of metaboric acid and K-donors. Recrystallisation protects surface against corrosion and mechanical damage. Steel surface hardens can be increased from 170 kp/mm2 to 475 kp/mm2. Epitactic new formations are non-brittle and are formed in several phases, first being dendritic, followed by pore-free phases. |
