titleOfInvention | Fluid sterilization of sludge and sewage - by exposing paddle mixer surface or thin stream of fluid to accelerated electron beam |
abstract | Digested sludge and sewage contg. pollutants can be sterilized by exposing it to accelerated electrons with a particle energy of 0.3-7 MeV (0.3-0.4 MeV). The effluent is mixed and/or flows in a thin film across the irradiation station at room temp. The total dose for digested sludge is 200-400 kRad and for sewage with unsettled pollutants 200 kRad - 1 Rad. |
