titleOfInvention | Weather control - with cloud and for dissipation using polyfunctional alcohols esp sugars and polyvinyl alcohols |
abstract | Cpds. of formula Z(OH)n (I) (where Z is an org. linear, branched or cyclic gp. and n is >=2, provided that >=2 of the OH gps. are alcoholic OH gps.) are used for dissipating fog (including heat fog), mist and clouds, partic. for safety of air, road and sea traffic. Pref. (I) are water-soluble. (I) may be solids, esp. having a 1-100 (10-50) mu particle size, with Z consisting of 1-8 (1 or 2) units, each unit contg. 3-6 (4-6) esp. 5-6C and pref. consisting of C, H and O only; or (I) may be liquid, semi-liquid or low-melting, esp. having 5-1000 (10-500) mu droplet size, with Z consisting of 1-70 (1-8) esp. 1 or 2 units, each unit contg. 1-12 (2-6) esp. 2 or 3C and pref. consisting of C, H and O only. Pref. (I) are opt. partially acylated polyvinyl alcohols having 3500-200000 mol. wt., or hydroxyalkylated sugars or their derivs. |
