R1 is alkyl, alkoxyalkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or aryl, and X is -O- or -S-, -XR1 being in o-or p-posn. to the amino gp). with dihalides of dicarboxylic acids of formula (in which A and B are aryl gps) in molar ratio 2:1, is improved by using amines of formula (in which R2 is -XR1 or Cl). Used for colouring of plastics, fibres resins, rubbers, cosmetics, laminates, etc. in yellow shades which have extremely high fastness to light.
