Hot-worked composite particles have a coherent non-porous inner structure of 2 or more intimately mixed components dispersed in each other. At least 1 component, representing at least 15% of the composition, is a plastically deformable metal. The composition of all particles is about the same as that of the powder. Specif., consolidating is achieved by hot extruding, pressing and sintering, or hot pressing. Dispersion-reinforced super alloys are used in the mfr. of tool-steel or electrical resistance Ni-Cr or Fe alloys containing Al and/or Cr. |
