Complexing polymers contain units of formula: (in which L represents the valence bond or a divalent radical such as -O-, -S-, -CO-, -CHR1-, -NR1-, R1 being H or lower alkyl; a, a1, a2 represent H, the valence bond or lower alkyl, 1 or 2 of these symbols representing the valence bond; a1 and a2 opt. together represent -Cr1=CR1-), the units (I) being linked together by one or more polyvalent radicals. The polymers are used in lacquers for coating metals and for prepn. of addition cpds. for use as (de)hydrogenation and isomerisation catalyst. They may also be used for extraction and separation of metals, purification of industrial effluent etc. |
