titleOfInvention | Process for the preparation of water-soluble disazo dyes |
abstract | The dyes are prepared by coupling the diazonium cpd. of an amino azo dye of formula:- with a coupling component BH (III) and have formula:- (in which a = (un)substd. phenyl or naphthyl radical B = radical of a coupling component, Q = (un)substd. m- or p-phenylene radical, R = lower alkyl radical or COOH, X = OH or amino gp. Y = a substituent capable of entering into a covalent linkage with the substrate, Z = identical or different salt-forming, water-solubilising gps. which dissociate acid in water, m = positive integer of at most 3 and n = positive integer of at most 5). Components (II) and (III) are so chosen that they each contain at most one reactive substituent Y and together at most 4 groups Z. |
