Process for the preparation of new derivatives of 7-aminocephalosporanic acid |
abstract |
7-Amino-cephalosporanic acid derivs. prepn. New cpds. of formula (I) : (where R is H, or OH esterified by a carboxylic acid in which the ester O-atoms may be substd. by S, but not acetoxy gp., a carbamoyloxy gp. which may be N-substd. or whose O-atoms may be replaced by S, or 4 degrees ammonium gp.) and their salts, are prepd. by reacting a metal azide partic. that of Na or K with a cpd. of formula (ii) : (where Z is an esterified hydroxy acetyl gp.) or by acylation with an N3CH2-CO-gp. or by eliminating protective gps. in the carboxyl gp. of (I) under acidic conditions. The cpds. have antibacterial activity partic. against gram-positive bacteria. |
