(I) and its acid addition salts are new and useful a hypo-tensive and hypoglycaemic agent is prepd. by reacting either 2,6-dimethylbenzaldehyde S-alkyl-isothio-semicarbazone (II) with NH2OH or 2,6-dimethylbenzaldehyde with 1-amino-3-hydroxy-guanidine. (II) can be prepared from the aldehyde and the S-alkyl-thiosemicarbazide or from the corresponding semicarbazone (III) and an alkyl halide, (III) being prepd. from semicarbazide and the aldehyde. |
