abstract | Hypoglycemic p-aminoalkylbenzene-sulphonamides prepn. Compds. of formula:- (where R1 = opt. branched 1-6C alkyl, allyl or 5-8C cycloalkyl, or cycloalkenyl; R2 = H, methyl, ethyl; R3 = opt. branched 1-6C alkyl cycloalkyl or cycloalkenyl with up to 8C, 3-5c alkenyl, phenyl; R4 = H, opt. branched 1-6C alkyl, phenyl or R3 and R4 together form a 4-7C polymethylene group opt. interrupted by an O atom; X = O or S; m = 2 or 3) are prepared by reacting a 1- p-(aminoalkyl)-phenylsulphonyl -2-imino-3R1-imidazolidine with an R3 isocyanate or R3 isothiocyanate or with N-R-3-N-R4-carbamic or thiocarbamic acid deriv. |
