(1) A process for the extn. of cytobiotic globulins from fresh untreated animal organs by treating the minced tissue with normal saline soln., then with Na citrate soln. (pH 3.1), centrifuging, adjusting the supernatant liquor to pH 6, centrifuging, adding 45% (NH4)2SO4, dialysing a soln. of the ppt. in H2O, centrifuging, dialysing, centrifuging then filtering and lyophilising the soln. Pure globulins are prepd. by adding Na2HPO4 (0.0175 M) soln. to the dialysed and centrifuged soln. passing the soln. through a col. of diethylaminomethyl-cellulose, eluting with a 0.2M NaH2PO4 soln. dialysing the eluate, filtering and lyophilising the filtrate. (2) Creams and lotions contng. purified cytobiotic globulins. Regenerative effect on tissue esp. skin without toxic side effects. Useful in cosmetology. |
